Runway support
One address, and a person on the end of it. Write to jordan@otherpath.co.uk and you will get a reply within three working days, usually the same day.
Getting in touch
There is no ticket system and no chat widget, because there is no support department to route you around — the address goes to the person who builds the app.
Worth putting in a first email, when it is a fault:
- whether you are on the web app or the iPhone app, and which browser or iOS version;
- what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead;
- whether you are signed in with Google or using it on the device only.
Please do not send screenshots of your balances unless they are the point — a description of the fault is almost always enough, and we would rather not hold your figures in an inbox.
Your data, without asking us
-
Getting a copy of everything
In Settings, choose Export my plan (on the web it sits under Backup and portability). You get your whole plan as a JSON file — every account, debt, item, scenario and check-in — and you can import it into a fresh install.
-
Deleting your plan
In the same place. It clears your plan, check-ins and scenarios from your account on every device and puts you back at the start. You have to type DELETE to confirm, because it cannot be undone.
-
Deleting your account
In Settings, choose Delete my account. It removes the plan, then the profile record holding your email address and display name, then the sign-in account itself. It is immediate and permanent, so export first if you want a copy.
-
If you never signed in
Nothing ever reached us, so there is nothing to ask us for. Clear the data from Settings, or delete the app.
What is stored, and who else ever handles it, is set out in the privacy policy.
Things people ask
-
Does it connect to my bank?
No. There is no bank connection, no open banking and no transaction feed. You state your balances at each check-in, which is the only way figures ever get in.
-
Why is there no percentage chance shown?
Because there is not enough check-in history yet to measure your own month-to-month variance. Until there is, you get the conservative, baseline and optimistic range instead of a number that would be invented.
-
My reminders are not arriving
Check that reminders are switched on in Settings, and that notifications are allowed for Runway in your device or browser settings. On the web a browser subscription can be dropped by the browser itself; switching reminders off and on again registers a new one.
-
Is there an iPhone app?
Not on the App Store yet. The web app is built mobile-first, works offline, and installs to an iPhone home screen from the browser — Share, then Add to Home Screen.
-
Does it cost anything?
No. Runway is free, with no subscription, no in-app purchase and no advertising.
